Love this place. The food is amazing

By far. The best cheesesteak I've EVER had. I love cheesesteaks and South Philly is the best. Great portions, juicy steak, seasoned well, chicken tenders were crunchy and delicious. I live in Maryland and I haven't found anything like this before. Everyone seemed to care about what they were doing and the product they served. I can't forget to mention CLEAN! Usually kitchens look a tad run down, but in between orders they were cleaning! Fantastic job! Can't give enough positive feedback.

Best cheese steaks in Hbg

I've been going there for fifteen years. I incurred one mistake over these years and they graciously corrected it without hesitation. I was born and raised in Philadelphia and this is the only place that follows the traditional standards of making a proper cheese steak. I highly recommend South Philly Hoagies. The best this town has to offer

Food was amazing as usual. Service on this day was a bit iffy though. Lady taking the order was attitudinal. I just overlooked it as maybe she was having a rough day.

Because of what seasons they use in their cheese steak. Oh my word! They use way too much! I have high blood pressure doesn't make since how over seasoned this sandwich this sandwich is suppose to taste like Philly sandwiches well umm u guys need to change ur sign because ur sandwich don't no where near Philly cheese steak sandwiches!! Sorry!! To me nasty!! It was a couple of times my cheese steak the was over cook burnt and this is why i don't even think of South Philly Hoagies when i want to eat out! I use to not any more!

Delicious Cheesesteaks!! The staff was so friendly and talkative.. Establishment was clean and everything was stocked accordingly. Parking wasn't an issue either.. Food was ready quickly and everything was priced just right. I'd definitely recommended this place and I will be returning soon! Check this place out!!

The cheese steaks and the rolls are the best; true Philly style.

Unassuming exterior, wouldn't think this was a restaurant and you wouldn't be completely wrong. They have a sizable menu (cold and hot) but no seating. Ordered California cheese steak on a fresh Philly role and found it to be good eating though I found that whatever spread they were using was too sweet for my taste. Oddly one in our group ordered a regular cheese steak and they found it kind of sweet too and the bread got swamped with sauce (order sauce separate next time). I like the convenient location and will try some of their menu options again, but I'll pre-order next time.

I enjoyed grabbing some authentic south philly food here in Harrisburg. It is nice to find a place so close without having to make the drive. I loved the italian sub we got. I am looking forward to coming back. It’s a little hole in the wall, but friendly and knowledgeable people.

I gotta say honestly I've had better. So don't go in expecting the greatest cheesesteak. Truth is it was bland. Not horrible but not something I get excited about. The fries in the other hand are pretty good. I'd def liked the cheese fries. The sub was a great size and had a good amount of meat and cheese. So I can't complain there. Had the steak had a lil more flavor I would have given it 5 stars

The best cheese steak in the area, it's a take out sub shop . Went you get it home n start eating it you will want to go back very soon. Went back 3 times before I left the area.

Hey people this place is the best! Now you usually have to wait on your food a long minute sometime even if you've called your order in but it's worth the wait because their food is so good! I get their cheeseburger hoagie and their loaded fries, don't get me started on those fries. So, if you're a patient person you're really going to love this place. And their staff is really great. Good food, nice staff , works for me.

Sooooooo good

While making my daily Uber trips, I had decided to stop in here for dinner. I ordered a 12 inch cheese steak with onions and cheese whiz. Good size sandwich. Although sadly they use frozen beef. The sandwich definitely needed some seasoning as it was bland. The coleslaw was extremely saucy but had good flavor. Spent almost $13. Maybe I'll be back.

the waiters was nice the food was awesome

Two stars only because the people were very nice and convenient location. We had a Cali steak and a Philly steak (wiz wit). The roll was chewy ( think microwaved bread), the meat was over seasoned with salt and pepper and tomatoes were horrible. The cook said "You'll be back..." He was wrong.

Family run with care and attention to food and customers

Had the cheesesteaks before but today had 1 with sauce onions and cheese and it tasted very spicy. Not sure if was spicey meat or the sauce. Didn't like it!

Love this place. One of the crown jewels of Harrisburg, in my opinion, and the ONLY place I absolutely trust to deliver a great hoagie. Service is pretty fast and the sandwiches are meaty and large. It's a necessary stop for me whenever I'm in town. Staff are always super friendly.

Worth the wait. Not from the state and I was impressed with the hoagie. Will stop back again.

South philly has some great subs but I ordered a california cheesesteak and they gave me a cold cut instead.better communication and attention to detail is needed.

Love this place. I'm originally from South Jersey and this gives me a little taste of home. Very nice staff and even when busy they get their orders done pretty quickly.

Great subs it's crazy but the food is excellent you get your money's worth without a doubt. Looks like a house from the front what a gigantic sign on the front 2 story building very delicious food.

Clean establishment, they lady working the counter is amazing at handling patrons in person and on the phone at the peak of the lunchtime rush. The food is delicious and the closest thing to the real deal in Harrisburg!

For me if the bread doesn't cut it, don't bother. Their bread is excellent. You must bother. Love cheesesteaks and cheeseburger subs.

All I can say is that we travel over 17 miles to go here and well worth. The best hoagie sub shop around.

Great place for cheesesteaks, actually was the best cheesesteak I have had. Fries were super flavorful, crispy, and fluffy, plus the melted cheese they give you is actually melted cheddar, not something from a can. Fair Prices. Wish this place had more options for cheese, like provolone or whiz instead of American.
